1. Information We Collect
CryptoSwapPro collects only the minimum data necessary to process your exchange:
- Sender and recipient cryptocurrency wallet addresses
- Exchange amounts and selected currencies
- IP address (for AML screening and fraud prevention)
- Browser type and language preference (for localization)
- Exchange timestamps
We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment card details, or government IDs (except where KYC is required for volumes above $10,000/day).
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Processing your cryptocurrency exchange
- AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance screening
- Fraud prevention and security monitoring
- Improving our service quality
- Regulatory compliance where legally required
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:
- Exchange partners (ChangeNOW, SimpleSwap): wallet addresses and amounts necessary to process the exchange
- Blockchain analytics (Chainalysis): for AML screening
- Legal authorities: only when required by law or court order
4. Data Retention
Exchange records are retained for 5 years as required by financial regulations. IP addresses are anonymized after 90 days.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion (where not prohibited by law)

Your privacy in practice — what actually happens when you exchange
Privacy policies describe legal obligations. This section describes what actually happens to your data when you swap crypto on CryptoSwapPro — in the order it happens.
1
You open the exchange widget
Nothing is logged. No cookies set beyond your language preference. No fingerprinting. You can browse rates without leaving any trace.
2
You enter an amount and select coins
Still nothing stored. The rate calculation happens client-side. We don't track which pairs you browse.
3
You provide your destination wallet address
This is the first data point we record: your destination wallet address and the exchange amount. This is the minimum required to send you crypto.
4
You send your crypto to our deposit address
Your IP address is logged at this point for AML screening and fraud prevention. The blockchain transaction is visible publicly — that's how blockchains work, not something we control.
5
We process the exchange
Your wallet address goes through Chainalysis screening (milliseconds). No human sees your data unless the transaction flags for review.
6
You receive your crypto
Exchange complete. Your data is stored in our transaction log for 5 years as required by financial regulations, then deleted. IP addresses are anonymized after 90 days.

Privacy FAQ
Can law enforcement access my transaction data?
If we receive a valid court order or legal request from an authority with jurisdiction over us, we are required to provide the information we hold — that is wallet addresses, amounts, and your IP. We do not proactively share data with any government. The same rules apply to any EU-registered financial services provider.
Do you share my wallet address with Chainalysis?
Yes. Your wallet address is submitted to Chainalysis for AML risk scoring. This is disclosed in our privacy policy. Chainalysis is a blockchain analytics firm — they analyze whether a wallet has been associated with criminal activity. They do not receive your IP address or any personal data.
What is the practical privacy impact of the IP logging?
Your IP is logged when you initiate an exchange. After 90 days it is anonymized — stored as a truncated version that cannot be reverse-engineered to your exact IP. The purpose of logging is fraud prevention and legal compliance, not advertising or profiling.
Can I use a VPN?
Yes. We do not block VPNs. Some VPN exit nodes may be flagged by our fraud prevention system if they have been used for suspicious activity, but standard commercial VPN usage does not affect your ability to exchange.
How do I request deletion of my data under GDPR?
Email
[email protected] with the wallet address(es) associated with your exchange(s) and the approximate date(s). We will identify the records and delete everything not required for legal retention. Note that records must be kept for 5 years under financial regulations — those cannot be deleted before the retention period expires.
